WE ARE SUPERAR SUISSE

Mission

"Superare" (Latin) means to surpass oneself, to master something. We pursue this goal in making music together as well as in shaping our independent organisation with the children and young people, the tutors and our broad network of international musicians and sympathisers.

Many of the Superar children have a migration background and come from educationally deprived backgrounds without access to classical music or any musical education at all. By comprehensively supporting the generation of tomorrow, Superar Suisse makes a direct and essential contribution to society.

Superar Suisse was founded in 2012 and is a partner association of Superar in Vienna. Superar International currently cares for around 3000 children in seven European countries.

  • FOR EVERYONE. We are passionately committed to ensuring that all children have access to music education, regardless of their financial means or biographical circumstances.
  • ENSEMBLE CLASSES. We offer exclusively ensemble group lessons several times a week free of charge. This unique method of musical education not only promotes teamwork and cohesion, but also creates a supportive environment in which each individual's musical talents can develop to their full potential.
  • CHANGE. We empower children and young people as individuals and as a group by sustainably promoting their personal development. We prepare the next generation to use their talents to bring about positive change in individual lives and social structures.

OUR Team

At the centre of Superar Suisse are the children and young people who make music and sing. They can rely on a broad network in the background.

Children and youth protection

All our activities are based on scientific research. Together with the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), we are deepening our approaches in various areas of child and youth work.

As part of the JUMP development project, Superar Suisse and the FHNW examined the necessity and needs in the area of child and youth protection. Since the school year 2020/21, a contemporary child and youth protection policy has been in force at Superar Suisse. Employees are trained and commit to conduct themselves in accordance with this policy. For example, all adults who teach or supervise children and adolescents must submit a so-called special private extract from the criminal record.

Sponsors

Our commitment to children and young people would be inconceivable without the generous support of various public and private institutions. We thank you for your dedication!
